the crew pulled 2000pound loads on the life boats to carry north to open water -
a trip to elephant island
all the men smelled awfall because they had not taken ba ths intal a long time.they had to go on a 800 mile trip to south george island,they decided to go to elephant island,first. -

the men went on the boats called,the james caird,dudly docker,and the stancomb wills. -

after the long trip across the battling sea the men final`y reached elephant island. -
the 4 man trip
now,they had to go on to south george island.so,shack,tom,chippy,tom,and john went and the others stayed behind. -

shack and the crew were interfered with by the biggest graybeared shack had ever seen!(which is a big wave with other waves behind -

They reached south george island some had to stay at shore in a cave to heal,while the others went to the other side of the island. -
The Whaling Station
The men had to up and down mountains and finally they got to the other side of the island. They saw a big ledge to go down to reach the whaling station. -
Rescued!
The manager of the station heard a knock. Shackleton and the other two told him about a rescue for the people at Elephant Island. All would be safe in 3 more months.
