THE PIT AND THE PENDULUM
A man was lost in a completely dark place and he was frigthened. -
Second event
He started to move and he found a pit and he thought that his tortures had been watching him because they wanted to see him jumping into the deep. -
Third event
The next day he woke up and he could see walls and a door. He was tied so he could´t move. -
Fourth event
He could see a picture of time but there was a real blade. The pendulum started to move. -
Fifth event
He started to heared a noise and then several rats ran across the cell and the pendulum started to move more quickly. -
Sixth event
He thought to put some meat in his hands to atracct the rats and they started to bit the rope. -
Seventh event
The sound of the pendulum became louder but the rats were eaating the rope -
Eighth event
He thought that he was going to die but a soldier hold him. The soldier was French because they had captured the city of toledo. -
THE GOLD BUG
William Legrand was a strange man who met him time ago who drew pictures of the creatures that he saw on the island. -
Second Event
One day he went to Lendran´s house and Legrand show him a drawing with a beetle. -
Third event
They started to talk about the type of animal that was in the paper and Jupiter said: that bug was never alive -
Fourth event
He saw something writting in the paper and when Legrand saw the writting he dind´t say nothing. -
Fifth event
About a month later, Jupiter came back to Charleston. he read that Jupiter was sick so he went to Sullivant´s island. He wasn´t sick -
Sexth event
He showed him a golden beetle that was lying on the
table and he said that he´ve studied the beetle but also the paper -
Seventh event
He believed that the gold bug has magic powers because of many succes that happens before they met the firt time. -
Eighth event
They made a journey to take the bug. He saw the blade of a knife. Then he saw three or four old coins and they take as many as they can -
Nineth event
Legrand know where were the coins because of the writting. At the end they were rich. -
THE FACTS IN THE CASE OF MR VALDEMAR
The story teller asked himself: What happened to the
mind and body of a person as they died? -
Second event
He thought about a patient who was very ill: Mr Valdemar. And he went to his room because he was a scientist so Mr Valdemar thought that he could help him. -
Third event
Hypnotize me, said Mr Valdemar. But when he did it he "died". The storyteller said to the doctor that he wasn´t die so the doctor wait a day -
Fourth event
Tell me when his body changes, said the doctor. At the end of seven months he made a decision. He was going to end the hypnotism. -
Fifth event
A yellow liquid came out of his ears and he said: Quickly! Make me sleep, or wake me up! So the storyteller woke him up -
THE FALL OF THE HOUSE OF USHER
The storyteller went with his horse to a house. At first he dind´t know who was the man that was sit on the sofa but he saw that it was Roderick Usher (his friend) -
Second event
His friend said to him that he was ill. Also he explained that his sister had a strange illness. -
Third event
Roderick looked after him well for several days but he didn´t see his sister again. -
Fourth event
He said that he want to keep the body of the sister in a room under the house.A wooden coffin was in the center of the room and he helped Roderick to put his sister's body in the coffin. -
Fifth event
Madeline broke the coffin and they started to listen her. -
Sexth event
Then a bright flash of lightning hit the house and the walls broke and the house fell into the lake. -
DOWN INTO THE MAELSTROM
He visited the Malestrom but he was ill. -
Second event
His guide showed him islands and each part of the Malestrom -
Third event
His guide tell him a history: he and his brother went to fishing in the Malestrom but a big storm came. -
Fourth event
They were frightened and were going to die but when they were in the worst condition the sea changed and they were safe. -
Fifth event
His friends and family did not know him because fear had made lines on his face. -
THE MASQUE OF THE RED DEATH
There was a illnes in a country called Red Death -
Second event
Prince Prospero had plenty of food and wine inside the castle.He prepared a masque for his courtiers. -
Third event
There were a room with a different colour and a clock so every hour they stopped and listened to the clock. -
Fourth event
But one room was empty and no one wanted to enter the
seventh room. This room had red light coming through
its window. -
Fifth event
In this room was a stranger. -
Sexth event
Prince Prospero cried out in pain baceuse the stranger was not wearing a mask and he fell onto the ground in front of the clock. He was dead. -
Seven event
Then every one of the courtiers fell onto the floor and their bodies shook.Red Death was the ruler now. -
THE OBLONG BOX
The storyteller wanted to sail from Charleston to New York -
Second event
He went to the shipping office and he looked at the passanger´s list. There was one name on the list that she knew: Cornelius Wyatt. -
Third event
Cornelius Wyatt had booked three cabins so he wasn´t traveling alone. -
Fourth event
When they saw each other, Cornelius did not speak to him -
Fifth event
Cornelius gone into the cabin but he was strange.A few days after they left Charleston, there was a big storm. -
Sexth event
The captain said "Quickly! Go to the small boats! Do not stop to take
anything with you!" but Cornelius said:"I cannot leave my box, I must get into the boat with my box." -
Seventh event
In the box was the body of Mr Wyatt's dead wife but only the captain knew the truth.
