Ed developed clear antisocial behavior early on whilst also being diagnosed with schizophrenia and showing interest in dead animals and and insects. Ed was a very disturbed and mentally ill man.

Growing up Gacy was close with his mother and sister but suffered a very abusive relationship with his father. His father was an alcoholic that physically and mentally belittled him throughout his childhood. He never felt "good enough" in his fathers eyes. Once he got older, Gacy developed a hatred for all men.

David went on a killing spree killing 6 people and injuring 7 others before escaping and fleeing the scene promising more crimes and other threats through letters terrorizing New York for months. He was greatly influenced by his older cousin who was a serial rapist and murderer himself who would share photos and stories with Richard who instead of being repulsed he would become rather fascinated with his cousins crimes and later would try to recreate his cousins previous crimes.

Joel was adopted at birth because his parents were young college students that could not care for him. Joel preformed very badly in school and had many learning disabilities along with having very poor social skills and was often bullies for his struggles.
