Senn's IB Diploma Programme is authorized by the IB Organization and the first cohort of Senn IB students began their journey. -
After the intrusion of the Rickover Naval Academy on campus, Senn requested permission from CPS to add an IB Middle Years Programme in partnership with Peirce elementary. The plan was to expand on already successful IB implementation and bolster Senn's reputation and enrollment, both of which took a hit when local Alderwoman Mary Ann Smith besmirched the school.

Concurrent with CPS' removal of then-principal Richard Norman, Senn was approved to apply for the IB Middle Years Programme in partnership with Peirce Elementary School.

David Gregg is appointed the first coordinator of Senn's MYP, charged with organizing the application process shortly after Principal Lofton's appointment in May, 2010.

After a successful 3-year application process, Senn and Peirce are authorized as an MYP partnership by the IB. -
Upon the removal of Principal Lofton and hiring of Principal Mary Beck, strategic planning discussions began with partner, Loyola University, in which the prospect of adding an IB Career-related Programme first arose.

Forty students in the inaugural cohort of Senn's IBCP begin the programme in 3 CRS's: Broadcast Journalism, Computer Science, and Health Science.
