Seismology
Seismology first developed in 1889 when the first teleseismic record was identified by Ernst Yon Rebeur-Pasebwitz at Potsdam. The first prototype of a seismograph was developed by John Milne and associates in Japan. John Milne was an English scientist who developed this in 1893. From 1857, Robert Mallet carried out experiments using explosives and he started the phrase "seismology". -
