    Napoleon invaded Russia, on September 7th a battle took place in Borodino Field. On September 14th Napoleon's troops arrived in a destroyed Moscow with no shelter and with barely any food or supplies Napoleon sent his troops home.

    The war began on February 8th 1904 and ended September 5th 1905. “The first great war of the 20th century” grew out of rival imperial ambitions of Russian Empire and Empire of Japan over Manchuria and Korea. It was a battle mainly for land.

    Russia got involved in the war because they supported Austria-Hungary in the war. By, the spring of 1917 the Royal family.. The Romanovs who had ruled Russia for over 300 years lost power due to Gregory Rasputin. At the end of the war Russia lost and the Bolsheviks introduced communist rule.

    Joseph Stalin's communist Russia signed a non- aggression pact with the Nazi Germany. The two dictatorship’s occupied Poland from west to east divided evenly. In June 1941, Germany invaded Russia in a surprise attack which eventually would help lead to the downfall of Nazi, Germany. Russia recovered and ended up pushing Germany back to Berlin. Russia emerged as a super power like the US.

    The cold war was disputes between communist nation led by Soviet Union and the Democratic nation led by the US never met in direct military combat, instead in their struggle for global influence they engaged in ongoing psychological warfare. The US started it by declaring an anti-communist policy in 1947 by President Truman.

    After arriving in Afghanistan Christmas 1979 the Russians shot the Prime minster, Amin and replaced him with Babrak Kamal. The Mujahdeen, the resistance Muslim force, controlled 75% of Afghanistan 3 years after the war started. By the end of the 1980s Russia saw that they were losing money and with their weak economy choose to withdraw from the war.

    Chechnya Tried to break apart from the Soviet Union. The Union used military force for years, Now issues of human rights occur everyday.

    The war lasted from August 7th to the 16th of 2008.Both sides instigated the war Georgia by launching a large scale military offensive in south Ossetia and Russia by supporting separatist forces who were responsible for a number of productions before the war.
