  • Navigation Act

    Navigation Act
    Focused trade between the Colonies and Great Britain...Outcome was the Colonists would smuggle goods for less money.
  • Proclamation of 1763

    Proclamation of 1763
    PURPOSE- Parliament made the Appalachians Mountains a boundary line for the colonies. OUTCOME- Colonists who had land shares west of the boundary couldn't croos to get to their land shares.
  • Sugar Act

    Sugar Act
    PURPOSE- Parliament lowered the tax on sugar because they thought if the tax was lower people would pay for it and not smuggle. OUTCOME- Colonists thought the act and laws trying to stop smuggling was a violation to their rights of English citizans.
  • Stamp Act

    Stamp Act
    PURPOSE- Parliament wanted to interfear with colonial affaitrs. And they taxed them without consent. OUTCOME- Patrick Henery persuaded the burgesses to take action against the Stamp Act.
  • Declaratory Act

    PURPOSE- Parliament made this act so they can tax the coloines what ever they want to tax them. OUTCOME- Parliament could tax anything apon the colonies.
  • Townshend Act

    Townshend Act
    PURPOSE- The tax focused on the imported goods like glass, tea, and paper. OUTCOME- The colonists were angered and said only their representitatives could tax them.
  • Tea Act

    Tea Act
    PURPOSE- The act let Parliament incontroll of trade for tea in the colonies. OUTCOME- Colonial merchants called for a new boycott.
  • Quebec Act

    Quebec Act
    PURPOSE- This act set up a government for Quebec. Also gave Quebec land west of Appalachians Mountains and north of the Ohio River. OUTCOME- The colonists expressed thier feelings for the act by calling it the Intolerable Act.
  • Intolerable Act

    Intolerable Act
    PURPOSE- The act was to punish the people of Massachusetts for their resistance to British law. OUTCOME- The colonists said that the act violated theirrights as British citizens.
