    • Burt Bell and Lud Wray pay $2,500 to put the previous "Frankford Yellowjackets" in Philadelphia.[2]

    • In 1935 Burt Bell buys out the Philadelphia Eagles from Lud Wray and becomes the sole owner of the team after a 2-9 season[2]
  • Philadelphia and Pittsburgh

    • Due to manpower shortage from WW2, the Philadelphia Eagles and Pittsburgh Steelers combined as one team to be known as both Pitt-Phil and the Steagles.[8]
    • Greasy Neale and Walt Kiesling co-coached the team[8]
    • During this time 600 coaches and players had been deployed and were fighting in the war[8]

    • Unfortunately the Patriots beat the Eagles by a field goal when Donovan McNabb was interecepted by Harrison with only 46 seconds left in the game leaving the score to be 24-21[9]
