In 2001, the government introduced Curriculum 2000 which split the A-level into two parts, the AS (Advanced Subsidiary) and A2 examinations.
Completing both As and A2 gains the pupil an A Level. -
When I started high school we were put into sets depending on our SAT grades.

SAT for 14 year olds abolished as well as the SAT science for 11 year olds.

Allowed schools to easily convert into academies.

A* grade was introduced to separate the top students

It measures how many pupils can gain a grade C or above in core academic subjects.

The school did another name change for a fresh start and to be more like the other C-operative academies.

In year 10 we were moved to a new building that cost £23 million!!!

in 2013 the leavng age was raised to 17 and then in 2015 it was raised to 18.

In the first year I completed As Levels and then did A2 Levels.
