To be able to house, and protect more jews schindler opened a ammunition producing section of his factory. When the Krakow ghetto was liquidated he let the workers stay in his factory.

HE asked the SS to allow Emalia to become a sub camp of Plaszow. It was permetted, allowing almost 1450 jews to be treated better.

THis time he wanted to move one of his factories and make it into a subcamp of Gross-Rossen, and Auschwitz allowing jews to live in relative comfort
