    The Enlightenment
    The third estate didn't like how the government was running things so they decided to protest. They got paid the least amount of money, yet had to pay all of the taxes. Little food was given to them and most were starving. Therefore, they started the enlightenment. They wanted everyone to be equal and have the same rights. Everyone would pay taxes and get their say in new ideas. However, the first and second estates disliked the idea. They didn't want their wealth and power to be taken away.

    Jacques Necker was important to the third estate because they weren't getting the same rights as the first and second estates.They didn't enough food, weren't allowed to own land, and had to pay all of the taxes. Jacques changed the lives of the estates by giving everyone equal rights, but then the first and second estate weren't happy. They didn't think they should have to share their power so they fired him.

    The third estate had many riots in order to try and get there way. They stormed the bastille which was for people that make the king angry. Another thing they did was destroy villages for food. They thought that the bakeries were hiding food from them which made them even more mad. All of them were starving so they broke into the shops and stole or destroyed everything. The third estate wasn't going to give up until they won.

    In the French Revolution there were three estates that didn't get along. The third estate never got a say in anything, so they started riots. They tried bringing in new people to help everyone get along but nothing worked. The third estate starded making violent attacks and killing innocent people. The king and queen did nothing about this to help their people. Eventually, they were killed for trying to escape by the guillotine.

    Napoleon was elected as an emperor because everyone loved his ideas. He made sure everyone was happy and defeated many wars for the French. The third estate was once again allowed to own land, there were controlled food prices, and jobs were based on talent. These enlightenment ideas were called the napoleonic code. Napoleon gains land and defeats other countries by fighting wars.

    Napoleon gets defeated
    Napoleon starts defeating countries and people start liking him even more. The next country to defeat is Britain and no one has defeated them before because they have the best navy. They decide to invade Russia instead with 600,000 troops. When the harsh winter came, France was forced to turn around because they were losing so many troops. Napoleon came home with a horrible reputation and only 20.000 troops. He was then exiled and sent to Elba and Louis XVIII was put on the throne.
