    Quaoar was discovered on June 4, 2002 by astronomers Chad Trujillo and Michael Brown at the California Institute of Technology from images acquired at the Samuel Oschin Telescope at Palomar Observatory, i chose this event because I am interested in astronomy and i like the subject alot.

I chose this event because I like astronomy and people were arguing about whether or not pluto should be a dwarf planet and they finally decided.

I chose this event because i watched the opening ceromony with my family together in a party.

    Scientists with NASA's LCROSS mission, which sent an impactor hurtling into Cabeus Crater on Oct. 9, say their results turned up a significant amount of water in the plume of material the crash kicked up. I chose this event because this was a big step for mankind as we finally found water on a planet near us.
