When most of the worlds first major life came, this is the time when mostly Trilobites lived. -
Ordovician 500-435 M
Mostly tropics & entirely ocean. The only land was a giant continent. Best known for diverse marine life like; sea urchins, mollusks, & jawless fish that eventually turn into fishes with jaws & armored. -
Silurian 435-395 M
This is when plants started growing on the lands & coral reefs started to grow because the water level rised because of the glacial formations melting. Then animals like centipedes & spiders lived on land. -
Devonian 395-345 M
The armored fish go extinct , then a wild variety of fish come & animals like amphibians come. & more plants start to grow. -
Carboniferous 345-280 M
Large swamps & coal forming forrests were abundant. This time period is more of when sharks & earliest reptiles formed. -
Permian 280-225 M
Largest extinction of marine life. :( -
Triassic 225-195 M
When dinosaurs start to form -
Jurassic 195-136 M
When birds & mammals start to form & dinosaurs are still alive. -
Cretaceous 136-65 M
Flowering plants start to form, Dinosaurs exticnct. A lot of bony fish. -
Tertiary 65-1.8 M
Modern mammals start to form. -
Quaternary 1.8- present
Humans & large carnivores are alive.
