Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD) receives $127.5 million U.S. Department of Energy Smart Grid Infrastructure Grant. SMUD has installed more than 200,000 smart meters in its service territory with a 98% satisfaction rate. SMUD is on track to install smart meters for all its more than 600,000 customers by the end of this year.
