My birth
When I was born, the only way to communicate with others was crying. -
My early years
I started to speak. During this time I was acquiring vocabulary and I communicated with words, phrases and some short sentences in Spanish. -
First Grade
I didn´t go to Kindergarten. I started in first grade. In this grade I was beginning to acquire vocabulary and learned the English language in most basic form. -
Sixth Grade
I graduated from Elementary school and in these years I took everything in Spanish. In my English class I practiced reading, writing and speaking, but not much. -
Middle School
I graduated from Middle School. I had a good English teacher and I practiced some reading, writing and speaking but only in my English class. -
High School
I graduated from High School. I took English classes and I practiced some reading, writing and speaking. I was limited in my learning process because I didn´t get the opportunity to practice it at home or anywhere else. -
UPR Humacao
I started college in the University of Puerto Rico in Humacao. Here I got to practice conversational English. In the University I practiced more English because I needed to read in English and write summaries and reports in English. -
Turabo University
I finished my Master´s degree in Primary Education level K-3. I had to read a lot in English to prepare my thesis. -
Caribbean Cruise
I spent my Christmas vacation aboard a Cruise with my family. There I got to practice English with the people in the cruise, staff and other tourists. -
Work in School – BEC 21
This year my school began the new project BEC – 21. With this project I needed to teach two classes in English, so I try to interact with my students and practice the English language. -
Sacred Heart University
I started a certification in Bilingual Education. In this specialization I have to read almost every required reading in English. Also I needed much practice speaking and writing in English all the time..
