The Atomic Bomb in Japan, end of world war 2
Near the end of world war 2, America and it's allies dropped a nuclear bomb on Japan. This killed thousands of people in a slipt second. A few days/weeks later they dropped another, telling the Japanese that they would continue to drop bombs unless they surrendered.
This is a very important time in histoy because it is the first and last time a nuclear bomb has been launhed. Now many countries have nuclear bombs stored underground, so if a war as to start the world could become destroyed. -
9/11 Bombing
The hijackers intentionally crashed two planes into the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center in New York City, killing everyone on board and thousands of those working in the buildings. Both towers collapsed within two hours, destroying nearby buildings and damaging others.
