Birth
Robert Dugan is born in El Camino hospital. He didn't have any problems when he was born. His mother Johanna M. Dugan gave birth to him and she was married to Robert W. Dugan. He was about 5 pounds when he was born. -
First Time Moving
Robert Dugan moved from Sunnyvale CA to Torrance CA. He didn't know that he was going to move 10 more times. He liked moving to Torrance CA rather than living in Sunnyvale CA. -
Important Sport
Robert started swimming when he was five years old. He swam for Firbray Swim Club in Sunnyvale CA. He loved swimming and Robert is still swimming to this day because he loves and enjoys the sport so much. -
Second Time Moving
The second time he moved, he moved to Munich, Germany. He was depressed that he had to move again for the third time and had to get used to his area again. He turned out to really like Germany. -
Moving 3rd Time
When Robert was eleven he moved from Munich Germany, to Saratoga CA. He was very depressed because he loved it in Germany because he had a such a good experiance. He also didn't like moving around so much and so far. -
Uncle's Death
His uncle Walter died when Robert was only 13. Walter was a very nice person to Robert and he would always tell him stories of when he was a kid that used to get in trouble all the time. Robert was sad when he died. -
First job
He got his first job in 1978 when he turned sixteen. He worked as a lifeguard at a pool at a apartment complex. He didn't like his job but he had to do it to pay for to attend to college because his parents didn't have enough money to pay for him to attend college. -
First Girlfriend
This is when he got his first real girlfriend. He was with her from 1980 to 1984. He was with her for five years (18-22). He broke up with her when he was 22. -
College
He went to college in San Jose CA. He attended San Jose University. He got a degree in Electrical Engineering. It took him 6 years to graduate because he worked while attending school. His work paid for his tuition. -
Moving away from parents for first time
Robert moved away from his parents in January in 1982. He moved to a San Jose State University Dorm. He decided to move because the dorm was clser to his work and his college. He didn't like it that much at the dorm. -
First Good Job
This is when he got his first high paying/good job. He joined a startup company when he was 20. The company made CAD software and he worked as one of the programmers there. -
Finishing College
Robert graduated from San Jose state University with a BSEE (Bachelor of Science Electrical Engineering). It took him 6 years to graduate because he had a job while attending at San Jose State University. -
Working for Dad
RObert started working for his dads company as a sales engineer. (His dad was Bob Dugan). THe company was called Dugan Tech and they sold censors to other companies. The company is now owned by Tom Dugan (one of Roberts brothers) -
Marriage
Robert dated Linda for 2 years and finally made up his mind to marry Linda. She said yes and they are still married to this day. They have a great marriage. They went to Hawaii for their honeymoon and had a great time. -
First Condo
Roberts first house at a condo in San Jose CA. It wasn't very big but it was big enough for two adults and a newborn child. Robert and Linda lived there for four years. -
Job
Robert started working at Chelsio which makes computer chips and other computer related technology. He likes working there and make a good amount of money to support the family. He used to work not that much but worked up his way to a higher rank. -
First Child
Robert and Linda had their first child. They named her Emily. She was born without problems and they were very happy. They loved her alot and made sure she was always safe. -
First House
In 2000 Robert and Linda moved in to their first house. They bought it for 510,000 dollars. It was a nice home In San Jose CA. THey had this house when Matthew was born. They are still living their with their two kids Matthew and Emily. -
Second Child
Robert and Linda Dugan had their second child. He was a boy so they named him Matthew. He was awesome and a great child. Robert and Linda cared for him and placed him in school. -
Uncle's Death
In 2006 his uncle Al died. Robert was only 13 when this happend. His Uncle Al was very close to Robert and he was very sad when he died. Uncle Al influenced my dad in one point of his life beause of his devotion.
