Robert Stanley Dyrdek was born on June 28th, 1974. He was born and raised in Kettering, Ohio. His parents are Gene and Patty Dyrdek.

Rob started Skate boarding at the age of 11. He was always involved with sports, but skateboarding was always on his mind. He received his first skateboard from pro skate boarder Neil Blender. At age 12, blender's company sponsored Rob. A few years later, Rob and Neil quit sponsoring and started the Alien Workshop, Rob's current company.

At the age of 16, Rob decided to forgo his senior year of highschool and move out to Southern California to pursue a professional skate boarding career. Soon after moving, he became riding for Droors Clothing (now known as DC company).

Rob's first reality tv show was aired on MTV, and it starred him and his best friend/body guard, Christopher "Big Black" Boyken. it was on the air from november of 2006 to april of 2008.

In this year, Rob Dyrdek set 21 world records on his show Rob and Big. The only two that are not skateboard-related are most bananas peeled and eaten and most powdered dounts eaten in a set period of time.
