Preparing his journey
Jameson Adams, Olav Bjaaland, Helmer Hanssen, Sverre Hassel, Eric Marshall, Frank Wild, Oscar Wisting were the men that he went with on his exploration. He gave the men the chance to pull out but none did. And so they left for the South Pole. -
A Victory for Norway
Roald and his team plant the Norwegain flag in the middle of the South Pole, his rival Robert Falcon Scott died halfway there. But Roald suffered as well, on the trp he broke his arm, got mauled by a polar bear and got posioned by a gas heater. But still made it. -
The End of a Great explorer
Some think that he died on the 31st of December, and some think he died during a rescue mission in Antartica. Today Norway has a monument of his head in the town and a section in a museum dedicated to him.
