    The time period where new ideas were being formed to help the revolution. On a scale of 1 to 10 would rate this event a 6 because it didnt have a direct effect. It was just what the time period was called.
  • French and Indian War

    French and Indian War
    The French and Indian war Was going on at this time. it was a war between england and france. England , allied with the Indians, won the war and drove the frech out of the Land in America.
  • Proclomation Line of 1763

    Proclomation Line of 1763
    It was a proclamation saying that the Colonists would not settle past an imaginary line near the Appalachian Mountains. The settlers did not obey this rule and past the line and settled there anyway, I would rate this event a 6 on the scale of 1 to 10 because Brittan was setting rules for the colonists
  • Stamp Act

    Stamp Act
    The Stamp Act was a tax on any piece of paper the American colonists purchased. The money was used to protect the colonists near the Appalachian Mountains. I would rate this event a 3 becuase the money was being used to help the colonists.
  • Boston Massacre

    Boston Massacre
    A killing of five colonists who got into an argument with off duty soldiers from Brittan. They colonists used this to try and show that they were being treated unfairly. If I would rate this event on a scale of 1 to 10 I would rate it as an 8 because it influenced the colonists that they weren’t all being treated right.
  • Lexington and Concord

    Lexington and Concord
    This was a battle between a few militia and some volunteer colonists against the British force at Lexington. I would rate this event a 4 on a scale of 1 to 10 because they lost the war.
  • Tea Act

    Tea Act
    Another tax Brittan put on tea to get money from the colonists. The colonists didn’t find this idea good. It resulted in the Boston tea party. If I had to rate this on a scale of 1 to 10 it would be a 6 because it influenced the colonists directly.
  • Boston Tea Party

    Boston Tea Party
    Colonists dressed as Indians Boarded a ported ship at night to dump the tea off the side of the ship into the harbor. This infuriated Brittan. I would rate this event as a 10 on a scale of one to ten because it was another way colonists were sticking up for themselves.
  • Intolerable Acts

    Intolerable Acts
    It was punishment to the colonists for the Boston tea party. It said colonists had to house British soldiers, and cut off use of the harbor. I would rate an 8 on a scale of 1 to 10 because it showed that the colonists were going back and forth with would lead to war.
  • First Continental Congress

    First Continental Congress
    The First continental Congress was a gathering for 12 representatives, one from each colony. They agreed to write to the king of England to repeal the heavy taxes they had placed on them. If I had to rate this on a scale of 1 to 10 I would rate it a 9 because this was the first time that the American colonists stood up for what they wanted.
  • Second Continental Congress

    Second Continental Congress
    Representatives from each colony met for the second time to write and sign the declaration of independence to declare that they were a separate country from the British. If I had to rate this on a scale of 1 to 10 it would be a 10 because it told Brittan they were done and wanted out.
  • Declaration of Independence

     Declaration of Independence
    The declaration of independence was signed by 56 delegates that declared that they wanted to be free from Brittan’s rule and start their own country in America. I would rate this event a Ten on how strongly it influenced the movement to revolution because it was declaring independence from great Brittan.
