The Proclamation of 1763 happed right after Britain won the French and Indian War. Britain restricted the colonists from going east of the Appalachia Mountains. Also, Britain thouhgt that the colonists should pay for some of the damages from the war so they taxed the colonists.

Parlament passed a moddified version of the Sugar and Molasses act because that act was about to expire. The British evaded taxes and the undercut of the intetion of taxes. "Resistance at all cost is the most senseless act there is."

Colonists suffered a constant shortage of currency with conduct trade. On September 1,1764, Parliment passed the Currency Act which controlled the colonial currency system.

Several of the house of representatives in the King's colonies and plantations in America, have against the law, claimed to themselves, or to the general assemblies of the same, the sole and exclusive right of imposing duties and taxes on the King's people in the colonies and plantations.
