    The British defeated the Americans and forced them to withdrawl to Philidelphia. Near Chadds Ford River in Pennsylvania, most of the patriots were able to escape.

    The Patriots won this battle south of Saratoga, NY. It was the turning point of the War where the British General surrendered 5000 British and Hessian troops to the Patriots.

    Winter 177-1778, Valley Forge was the site of camp for the continental army. Starvation and disease killed over 2,500 Americans. 20 Miles North West of Philidelphia, this event caused a much lower moral.
