  • Continental Congress Meets

    All of the colonies send a representative to a meeting except for Georgia. They all agreed to vote of a "statement of grievances" to apologize to the king. They decided to start boycotting with all of British trade. A man that was named Patrick Henry a VA rep was urging the colonists to unite against Britain.
  • Thousands of redcoats in Boston

    General Gage sends of thousands of British troops to Boston with many many more on the way.
  • Midnight ride of Paul Revere

    Paul revere hears about the news of the British coming, so he rides through the night all the way to Lexington and Concord, yelling "The British are Coming"
  • Battle of Lexington and Concord

    For the battle of Lexington, It was the first battle of a revolutionary war, the event "the shot heard around the world" occurred there and was caused by Ralph Waldo Emerson. As for Boston, when they fight there, the British lost and the Americans won, It was a American victory.
  • Capture of Fort Ticonderoga

    Two men named Benedict Arnold & Ethan Allen capture Fort Ticonderoga. They are able to get all of the supplies in the for including tanks, guns, and gunpowder. An American victory.
  • Second Continental Congress Meet

    They printed money
    They started to set up a post office
    They finally created a continental army that was led by George Washington
    the 13 colonies sent an olive branch to the king asking for him to protect their rights
    In response the king hires 30,000 Hessian soldiers
  • Battle of Bunker Hill

    The battle was fought of Breed's Hill, The expression “Don’t Fire until you see the whites of their eyes” was said by William Prescott, It was a British victory the Americans ran out of ammunition , and the British realized that beating the Americans wouldnt be so easyy.
  • Washington Arrives On Outskirts Of Boston With Continental Troops

    Washington realizes that his men are unorganized and need discipline
    They are short on weapons

    Washington finally believes that his army is prepared and their weapons arrive.
    Washington puts cannons in Dorchester heights that look down on Boston

    Alas, the 13 colonies all vote for independence
