  • The French And Indian War

    The French and Indian war started in 1754 and ended in 1763. The war started because of specific issues on weather the Upper Ohio River Valley was a part of the British empire and up for trade. It was also a war of territory and waterways.
  • The Proclamation of 1763

    There were three goals to the proclamation of 1763. One of them were that settlers couldn't go west of the Appalachian mountains. Another being further purchases from the Indians of land to the east of that line weren't allowed. The third goal was that the Indian territories west of the proclamation line would be under the orders of the military.
  • The Sugar Act

    the sugar act was a revenue-raising act passed by Great Britain. It was aimed at ending the smuggling trade of sugar from the French.
  • Stamp Act of 1766

    The stamp act was a parliament of Great Britain which imposed a direct tax on the British colonies in America. The stamp act was a tax on all paper documentations.
  • Townshend Acts of 1767

    The Townshend acts were a series of acts, passed by the British parliament on the Americans. They placed new taxes and took away some freedoms from colonists
  • The Boston Massacre

    The Boston massacre was a deadly riot that occurred on King street in Boston. It started as a street fight between American colonist and a lone British soldier, but quickly turned into a violent blood-shed massacre.
  • Tea Act

    The act permitted the company the right to ship it's tea directly to the colonies without passing through England first. It also gave the company the right to the duty-free export of tea from Britain.
  • The Boston Tea Party

    the Boston tea party was a political protests. It happened because Americans were frustrated at Britain for imposing "taxation without representation".
  • Intolerable Acts

    The intolerable acts were aimed at isolating Boston. The colonist felt it was a violation of their rights.
  • 1st Continental Congress

    It was compromised of delegates from the colonies in reaction to the coercive acts. The main accomplishment of the First Continental Congress was a compact among the colonies to boycott British goods.
