  • Navigation Acts

    Navigation Acts were a series of laws that restricted the use of foreign ships for trade between every country except Britain. This significantly expand the power of the Britain, because it got more money.

  • French and Indian War

    The war was fought between the colonies of British America and New France, with both sides supported by military units from their parent countries of Great Britain and France, as well as Native American allies. France and Britain both suffered financially because of the war, with significant long-term consequences.

  • Stamp Act

    an act of the Parliament of Great Britain that imposed a direct tax on the colonies of British America and required that many printed materials in the colonies be produced on stamped paper produced in London, carrying an embossed revenue stamp. The stamp act lead people to fight against the Britain.

  • Boston Massacre

    incident which British Army soldiers killed five male civilians and injured six others. The incident was heavily propagandized by leading Patriots to fuel animosity toward the British authorities.

  • Boston Tea Party

    a large group of Boston rebels
    disguised themselves as Native Americans and proceeded to take action against
    three British tea ships anchored in the harbor. They dumoed all the tea on the ship into the sea. This is the beginning of Americans fighting against the British.

  • Battles of Lexington and Concord

    The first time that American minutemen fight against the Britain, this is the beginnig of the following wars.

  • Declaration of Independence

    On June 7, Virginia delegate Richard Henry Lee moved that “theseUnited Colonies are, and of a right ought to be, free and independent States.” This shows that America will soon become a independent country.

  • Battle of Saratoga

    Some of the British troops surrendered on October 17, 1777. This is an important battle which shows that Britian with soon defeat.

  • Treaty of Paris

    The leaders of sevral countries met in Paris. Unitied states has became a country that is confirnmed by other countries.
