Its the end of the NHL season. Richard gets a cut from a high stick delivered by Hal Laycoe. Richard gets revenge by giving him a two handed blow with a hockey stick to the head. He also punched a linesmen from his own team in the face. -

The NHL had a hearing to decide a punishment for The Rocket and it was reached that Richard would sit out for the rest of the season. -
Campbell's statement
Campbell made a statement about the incident that most French Canadians didn't like. -
The Plead for Peace
Campbell went to the Montreal game this night even though most of the public hated him. He was verbally abused and things were thrown at him. Richard was also there and he made a radio appearance asking for calm among the crowd. -
The Riot
That night during the game fans went into the streets and started a riot, the worst riot in Quebec history. Destroying everything in their path that was near the arena -

The next year The Rocket was back in action.
