At the age of 68, (war of 1812 started) Pierpoint offered to "raise a corpse of men of colour on the Niagara frontier but he didn't get accepted. i chose this image because it shows what the war was like in 1812. -

The war of 1812 is done and the peace terms are negotiated. Richard Pierpoint went back to scratching a living as a lobourer and slipped out of sight for another 6 years. i chose this image because it represents when the war was finshed. -

At 77, he lived on Niagara on the lake and requested a ticket back home and got a "location ticket" for a parcel of unbroken wilderness. i chose this image because it shows the cabin he lived in. -
