Richard Milhous Nixon was born on January 9th 1913 in Yorba Linda, California.He was the second of five children and worked in his parents grocery store for most of his life.

Education

During his life time he went to two high schools Fullerton High,but then transferred to Whittier High.He later received a scholarship to Duke University Law School in Durham, N.C.

Marriage

Mar 5, 1940

After being casted in the same play as Thelma Katherine(who he called Pat) they soon married right after and had two daughters named Tricia and Julie.

Joining The Navy

Mar 5, 1942

Richard joined the navy and served as a aviation ground officer. During his time in the navy he saw no combat, but received two service stars, and several commendations.

New Opportunities

Watergate

The first incident of the watergate was a break in at the Democratic National Commitee. Richards administrators attempted to cover this up, but congress soon got their hands on the investigation. Richards administrators denied covering it up which soon led to a constitutional crisis.

Congress soon started investigating Nixon which would soon lead to Carl Berstein and Bob Woodward to lead the investigation. As they were doing their investigation they discovered that Nixon recorded all his phonecalls. Congress ordered Nixon to hand over the tapes, but denied to turn over the tapes. Unfourtanetly he soon turned them over and Congress found out his involment in the scandal.

Watergate

(President Geral Ford)One year later Nixon had to admit to being part of the Watergate but still argued his objective on interviews such as the Richard Nixon and Frost interview. Nixon was going to be impeached but soon resigned from office allowing Gerald Ford to take his place as president for the rest of his term.

I do not believe that I was covering up criminal activity.
4.How long did you know about the watergate.
I found it out about a month before you did.
