He began working as an advertising photographer for a department store. and because of how talented he is, he quickly was endorsed by Alexey Brodovitch, the art director for the fashion magazine Harper's Bazaar. The link provided shows one of the pictures he took for Harper's Bazaar. -

he photographed about 250 covers for Vogue. He was very creative and talented. He was known for being a risk taker. -

He statred showing the affect of fashion on people, he shifted to portraits gradually..he statred taking pictures that made people uncomfortable sometimes. He showed personality. -

To me, he made fashion photography more intersting and more fun. he had models jumbing and the dresses flowing. He created an environment that allowes the models personality to come in to the picture, so it wasn't all about the dress. -
