Rogelio became a CL
-
Went on forced vacation to Monterey County Jail. :-(
-
Prior to his return to work, an agreement was made between Roy and the Youth Corps Director. The agreement was that Roy would be demoted back to a CM position but that he would have the opportunity to regain his CL position as long as he demonstrated the same drive and determination he had shown everyone before he was incarcerated. There was a lack of motivation on his part and his performance never rose past satisfactory.
-
Nearly 3 months after his return to work, Rogelio's performance still wasn't at the level required to fill his old CL position.
A decision was made to refer him to outside employment. Scheduled an interview for him and another YC participant at Salinas Steel Builders. Rogelio showed up for the interview and was hired that same day. -
Roy was terminated from Salinas Steel Builders due to poor performance issues (standing around, not working, using cell phone during work hours and doing so after being warned several times).
Not sure on exact date -
Did not seem very bothered by his termination. Showed signs of the "whatever syndrome." Commented on having some personal issues but refused to discuss what they were about when offered help.
-
Youth Corps supervisor talked to him about showing up late that morning and he "wasn't in the mood" to deal with the situation. He was clearly upset about the matter but had not been treated unfairly. Roy then proceeded to walk out of the shop as he made his way to his car and left the premises.

No call no show. Came in following day on Tuesday April 24th and had a serious talk about his performance with Youth Corps staff. It was agreed that this would be his final chance prior to termination.
-
Rogelio failed to report to work again on Monday April 30th and did not inform anyone that he would be out for the day. He was terminated when he showed up to work on May 1st.
