Washington plans to attack Cornwallis at York Town and advance against him in September. The fight lasted until October 19th which was also the day Cornwallis surrendered. -
The treaty was signed in September 3rd, 1783. Almost 2 years after the battle in York Town. Britain recognized the US as an Independence nation. Mississippi River would be the western border of the US and Britain would leave all of their western forts. US merchant finally agree to pay the Britain merchant what they owe them and loyalist can finally reclaim their property.
