The 9 year french and Indian war was about economics. It began when Washington attacked the Virginia forts, to force the french out. The British gained lots of land and had victories across India, Europe, North America, etc. The British fought against the french, the Indian & the natives to trade, buy and control their land, and so doing this led to conflicts. This war is significant as it later led to the taxation Acts of the British and the American revolution.

In the Stamp Act, the British started taxing every piece of paper used because of the debt from the French and Indian War. Colonists didn't like that Britain was doing this, so they protested. The American colonists didn't want products being taxed by the British since they weren't even the ones representing them, quote "No taxation without Representation." This act was significant, as it influenced colonists with the ideas of America's independence since they were angered by the act.

The Townshend Act is about how the British taxed products, in order to pay off the expenses from the French & Indian war since they were now in debt. In this act they taxed paper, paint, glass, lead and tea. Doing this caused many colonist to go mad. They decided to boycott the goods in hopes to end this act. They even wrote negative things about this. This act was important because although the colonist were upset, it gave the British enough money to continue governing the american colonies

The Boston Tea Party is a protest caused by the taxation from Britain. In this event American colonists dumped crates of tea into Boston Harbor to go against this. British had responded with the Intolerable act, which is how Britain tried making the colonists pay for the ruined tea by stopping the city. It placed the colonies in direct control by Britain and required the colonists to house the British soldiers. This was important as it convinced American colonists to declare independence.

In the declaration of independence, Colonists have decided to declare independence because they've been abused, they want to be safer and they have been way too controlled by Britain. The declaration was also about how the 13 colonies wanted to be independent and not have anymore political and economic connections to Britain in any way. This is significant because it shows how the colonies were able to become their own independent nation because they decided to step forward and declare for it.

In the battle of fort Washington, a British general named William Howe attacked fort Washington and their defense. The defenders were outnumbered but successfully won. When George Washington wasn't there and was on the other side of the Hudson river, the British came back with 3,000 men and came to attack the outer defense of fort Washington, the continentals and generals there were overwhelmed and surrounded and soon surrendered to the British.

The Battle of Saratoga had 2 battles, the freeman’s farm and bemis heights battle . In the freeman farm battle, General Burgoyne and his forces attacked the American army yet no one won this battle thus creating more tensions until the battle of Bemis heights. In Bemis heights, general Horatio & Benedict united and were able to protect it from the british since they surrendered. This is important as it persuaded France to sign a treaty which soon allowed them to win in the battle of Yorktown.

In the battle of Yorktown, George Washington had decided to ally with a french general named Rochambeau. They made the decision to attack Yorktown, Virginia because they were given great support by a french fleet named Comte De Grasse and they wanted the British to be stopped. When their armies were there, it was such a big movement for the British, that they decided to surrender. This event was significant because it finally led to America's independence.

The Treaty of Paris is a peace agreement that ended the american revolution. The american representatives that helped negotiate this treaty was Benjamin Franklin, john jay & john Adams. They established land and the U.S gained fishing rights because they helped recover land and products. Britain also made peace with France & Spain with treaties about land, fishing and trading rights. This was signed in 1783 to show that America has finally obtained their independence away from British rule.
