Proclamation of 1763
The law prevented the colonist settling any farther than the Appalachian Mountains. It was significant because it enraged the colonists even more and as they became more and more enraged it eventually lead to the revolutionary war. -
Boston Massacre
It was the killing of several patriot soldiers by british soldiers, the patriots were throwing snow balls, sticks, and stones and the british killed them for it. It was significant because it led to a campaign of speech writes trying to arouse the citizens. -
Boston Tea Party
The Boston Tea Party was the dumping of lots of British tea into the harbor. It was signifcant because after the tea act the patriots thought of this tea would take away from their businesses so they had to get rid of the tea. -
Lexington and Concord
It was a battle fought in Middlesex County, Province of Massachusetts Bay within the towns of Lexington, Concord, Lincoln, Menotomy, Cambridge, and near Boston. It's important because it was the first military engagement of the revolutionary war. -
Fort Ticonderoga
It was when a small force of Green Mountain Boys overcame a small force of British soldiers at Fort Ticonderoga. It was important because the weapons they looted from the fort were used to foritfy Dorchester Hights and to break the standoff at the Seige of Boston. -
Bunker Hill
It was a battle that occured early in the revolutionary war that was named after a bunker that both sides were fighting for. It's important because both sides were fighting for the same objective. -
Olive Branch Petition
It was a last attempt to avoid a full out war. It was significant because it could have stopped the revolutionary war but was instead used to declare the colonist traitors. -

It was a book that challenged the British government. It was significant because he used very plain words and made it possible for ordinary people to understand everything and helped to gain support. -
Dorchester Heights
Dorchester Heights was the occupation of Dorchester Heights by the Americans. It was important because it's what drove the British out of Boston. -

The Decloration of Independence was a statement made by the continental congress that stated that the thirteen american colonies regarded themselves as independent states. -
Trenton
The battle of Trenton was after George Washington and his men crossed the Delaware River which made it possible for them to fight the Hessians. It's significant because they captured nearly the entire Hessian force which boosted the Continental Armies Morale and inspired reenlistments. -
Princeton
Princeton was a battle where George Washington and his men deafeted british forces near Princeton. It's important because Goerge washington got news that Hugh Mercer was retreating with his men and George Washington joined his men with Mercer's and defeated the british. -
Saratoga
Sartoga was to battles at the same place. The first battle on September 19 the Continental Army was defeated. On the second battle the Continental Army defeated the british and caused them to surrender. It's important because France formally entered the war. -
Valley Forge
It was during the winter of 1777 to 1778 and they were trying to survive and they didn't have food or supplies. It was significant because they eventually good supplies and were trained and gained more enthusiasum. It also caused lots of reinlistments. -
Yorktown
It was the last major battle of the revolutionary war. The Continental Army captured the British Army and caused the Britsh Goverment to negotiate an end to the conflict. It's significant because it was the last major battle of the Revolutionary War. -
Treaty of Paris 1783
The Treaty of Paris was the first intellectual property treties signed. It's significant because it was the first treaty signed.
