    The Americans started this war, this war lasted 9 years but is said to have lasted 7 which is not true. George Washington started this war by sneak attacking the French. Groups who were involved in this war were the British, The French, and The Native Americans, the cause of this war was for The Native Americans to maintain their land, their waterways etc. French forces were weak in the colonies so the British forces stormed into new France they took control of many French outposts, British won.

    The Stamp Act took place in NYC, this was the Parliaments first direct tax on American colonies this was enacted to raise money for Britain. The colonists were being taxed newspapers, almanacs, pamphlets, broadsides, legal documents, dice, and playing cards, the debt to pay was £140,000,000. Colonists said the Stamp Act was unfair and were upset with it because it was contrary to the British, it also affected printers, publishers, and lawyers a lot.

    The Boston Massacre happened in Boston on King Street, 8 British soldiers shot and killed 5 colonists. The colonists were supposedly insulting and threatening the soldiers, the soldiers were told to "Hold your fire!" but one soldier misheard him and instead heard "Fire!" so he fired into the crowd of colonists leading to the 3 instant deaths, 2 later on died from their wounds leaving just 6 wounded. The soldiers were found not guilty of murder but two of the men were guilty of manslaughter.

    The Boston Tea Party was a protest for the Americans that were upset with the British for imposing the "taxation without representation". When British ships full of tea arrived in Boston a large group of colonists were told by their commander to disguise themselves as Native Americans, get on the ships and dump all chests of tea into the water. 342 chests of tea were dumped into the harbor, the colonists were said to have been surrounded by armed British ships but did not get attacked.

    The Battle of Lexington and Concord was the first battle of The Revolutionary War. The Americans won this battle beginning the battle with 3,960 men and ending with 93 lost men. The British get to Concord at 8:00 AM, Minute Men notice from high ground and march down to them the British get scared and fire at them, killing Captain Isaac Davis and others. The British try to return to Boston and bump into many Minute men from every area who shoot at the British killing and injuring many.

    Battle of Saratoga

    The cause of the Battle of Saratoga was from the British trying to attempt a three way attack on New York, The British end up getting stuck in New York's wilderness with very little supplies. On October 7th The British have a plan of attacking the Americans at Bemis Heights but the Americans are aware and prevent this. The Americans win this war too, ending the war with only 330 men lost out of 15,000. The British on the other hand ended the war with 1,135 men lost but started with 6,000.

    Valley Forge, the place where The Americans set camp for 6-7 months. Washington picked Valley Forge to settle for camp because it was far enough to keep them safe from a surprise attack but close enough to know what the British are doing in Philadelphia. The soldiers, women, and children built what soon became one of the largest cities in the colonies. Many of George Washington's men died because they got sick with diseases due to the weather, but Washington stayed them men throughout it all.

    Battle of Yorktown

    The Battle of Yorktown happened in Virginia, Yorktown. George Washington started this war as well, the Americans and French wanted to capture the British before new supplies and reinforcements arrived for Cornwallis and his men. There were 19,900 Americans and 9,000 British soldiers, the Americans successfully won this war capturing 7,416 British soldiers, killing 142 and wounding 326. Washington's strategy was for his men to dig parallel trenches closer and closer to the British.

    The Treaty of Paris was signed in Paris to end the American Revolution and was signed by both sides. The treaty set the boundaries and made peace between the British, Canada, and the states.
