  • Battle of Lexington and Concord

    Battle of Lexington and Concord
    The battle of Lexington and Concord is what started the American Revolution however, this wasn't really a battle as the British army was set out to find and capture rebel leaders. Eventually they were ambushed on the way back and never fought with their brains but fought through their strength. This is so significant because this is what starts the American Revolution which carries on out for decades fighting for Americas independence and freedoms.

    Battle of Fort Ticonderoga
    The battle of Ticonderoga took place in New York in which there were 3 battles taken place there. It's so significant because this is was an important part to the French and Indian war in which militia was necessary.
  • Battle of Bunker Hill

    The battle of Bunker Hill was a battle between the British and Americans which the British won the battle, and the Americans had to give up their position because they lacked ammo so they left the hill. This is so significant because this is when the British started taxing the colonists due to the many damages during the battle. It also took Britain 3 tries to get the land.
  • Common Sense

    Common Sense was a pamphlet written by Thomas Paine in which he wanted to declare independence on Great Britain. This is so important because it takes years for America to get their freedom and independence against Great Britain and independence was the only way to fight against the British.
  • Siege of Boston

    Boston was in the effort to contain the British troops because the British maintained control of the Boston Harbor they were able to receive additional soldiers and supplies which carried out throughout the battle. This is important because this opens up the Revolutionary War
  • Declaration of Independence

    The Declaration of Independence opens up with 13 states in America joining forces in their famous saying "Join or Die" when other colonies were against them so it stood them out. This also creates the founding document for the USA and the power of government come from the people which sets a huge democracy over independence and freedom..
  • Battle of Long Island

    The Battle of Long Island occurs rights after the Declaration of Independence was constructed. It also takes place in New York against the British which they came back and wanted to start a battle. This is significant because this is another step the Americans were taking to declare their independence on Great Britain and if they won they can finally reach there goals and freedoms. However they lost and the Hessians and Germans joined in and went against the Americans to overwhelm them.
  • Washington Crosses the Delaware

    Washington crossed Delaware mainly because they wanted to attack troops in New Jersey which they won and received their first major victory. For nearly a year they were under siege and they wouldn't let them take control over Boston and started fighting back heavier and stronger. Due to common sense it started bringing out more people into the conversation and more people started joining with them.
  • Battle of Trenton

    The battle of Trenton was a battle against British and created a stand-still and improved their army and control in the Americas. This time it was a very harsh winter with lots of snow meanwhile still having a war with the British which eventually the fought and the Americans won which gave them an upper advantage this time.
  • Battle of Saratoga

    The battle of Saratoga represents that America beat the British and insert more dominance for America which took place during the Revolutionary War. It was also a campaign and Britain was on their way from Canada as they were leading the charge towards America which the Americans had a huge advantage with weaponry and finding ways to ambush them.
  • Winter At Valley Forge

    Smallpox was a massive crisis in this time, there was many difficulties with getting men around the place. Also many people didn't have clothes and shoes, many people are fighting over each other. Later on George Washington shows what it takes to be a leader and to lead soldiers into battle which creates a positive influence on the people which creates hopes and get better as a community.
