    The First Continental Congress Meeting meant big things for the colonists. The Congress meeting helped the colonists pass the law for independence, even though they still fought for it.
  • Battles of Lexington and Concord

    Battles of Lexington and Concord
    These battles were the first battles of The Revolutionary War. The British were ordered to find and destroy any weapons being secretly stored at Concord. No one knows who fired the first shot, but the first shot is better known as "The Shot Heard Round the World". There were no real winners, ta win because they now knew they could stand up to the Redcoats.

    The attack in Trenton was a smaller, suprise battle. The Americans eventually won without many losses.
  • Battle of Saratoga

    In the first battle, the Britsh had outnumbered the colonists and siezed the first battle. Although in the second battle the Americans came more prepared and ready to battle, eventually on Oct. 17th of 1777 the British surrendered and the Americans gained back Saratoga.
  • The Siege of Charlestown

    Charlestown was a major battle taking place at the end of the war. General Benjamin Lincoln surendered the American Army to a force of over 5,000 British, leading to a British victory.
  • Yorktown

    The last battle of the War proved to be a great one. The Americans, with the help of Rochambeu, surounded the British forcesg them by many, The British eventually gave up and surrendered.
