    The Stamp Act was passed by the British Parliament. The new tax forced all American colonist to pay a tax on every piece of printed paper they used. They made everyone pay taxes on almost everything. It is asymmetrical because all they did was boycott when they expected a war.

    Boston Massacre
    A squad of British soldiers were throwing snowballs at people with rocks in them. The Boston Massacre is remembered as a key event in helping to force the colonial public to the patriot cause. This is asymmetrical because they decided to show restraint instead of fighting back.

    Hundreds of troops marched from Boston to nearby concord. The British killed several minutemen and advanced to Concord, where they destroyed some military supplies. This is asymmetrical because the British did not expect to have a battle but an accidental gunshot went off, and the colonist were retreating.

    Washington's army spent the summer of 1777 fighting battles. The American's were mean to the British army. There were shortages of everything from food to clothing. Washington's men were sick from disease, hunger, and exposure. There were 11,000 troops camping at valley forge, which hundreds died. This is symmetrical because the British expected them to camp because it was winter, and not fighting.

    The battle of Princeton was the rising point in the revolutionary period. The battle of Princeton was the last major battle fought by the continental army for nearly 6 months. The battle was the second battle in 2 days fought by soldiers with little food or sleep. This is asymmetrical because the patriots were fighting symmetrically then George Washington decided he was going to switch things up so they could win.

    Many union attempts were made to destroy the city. The confederates managed to hold Charleston until February. They were suffering from guns. The war in the South/ Charleston took place towards the end of the revolutionary war. This is asymmetrical because Nathanial Greene decided he wanted to use a different strategy to win the war for the South.

    This was the last major battle of the American Revolutionary war. It ended in the surrender of the British Forces. 7,000 British solider's were captured. It declared the united states rulers and independent. This battle was also symmetrical because they fought head to head.
