That is why Leorando chose to add Jesus into the painting also the scene in the painting is suppose to be the Last Supper with Jesus and his apostles(12) as it's told in Gospel of John.

Galileo was the one who created this invention, it was the first of it's kind. It wasn't really reliable because there was no scale to accuracy tell the temperature was.
