They were introduced around 1285 The first frames were made out of metal, bones, and sometimes wood the lenses were made out of quarts. They were used to read the bible and to look at paintings.     Nobles Social Class

    The nobles made up 2-3% of the populations. They took place in political positions. They believe that nobles were born not made.     Townspeople Social Class

    The Townspeople made 7-13% of the population. They were the middle part of the group. Their responsibilities were to work. They would work 1 out of the 4 jobs. The patricians were people that worked in trade, banking or industry. The burghers were people, skilled workers. The workers were used as helpers.     The peasants took up 85-90% of the population. They were the lower part of the group. They had the same responsibilities as the middle age of peasants. They worked on farmland but were paid very little.( Life During the Renaissance notes )

    During the Renaissance era, people were taught to believe that all planets orbit around the Earth. Nicolaus Copernicus proved everyone wrong. He saw in his telescope that the sun was in the middle and all the other plants from Mercury to Pluto orbit around the sun. No one believes what he saw.     Pieter the Elder Bruegel was Netherlandish renaissance painter that was famous for his landscapes and a pleasant view in his paintings. All of his paintings were backgrounds of religious or genre themes. The Hunters in the snow was the first ever winter landscape painting in Western History of painting. The purpose of the painting was to show three Hunters coming home with their dogs after a long day of hunting at their village.

    Four Moons of Jupiter
    When the telescope was invented, Galileo made one for himself. In doing that he made a lot of new discoveries during his time. One in particular was the four moons orbiting around Jupiter. They are called Lo, Europa, Ganymede, and Callisto.
