This was a Renaissance Shawn which was an instrument that was in the Renaissance time and it was a conical bore, double-reed instrument made in Europe from the 12th century to the present today. Then there was some composers back then and one was Giovanni Palestrina and he was a Italian Renaissance composer of sacred music. During the Renaissance time period it was after the Medieval Times and it was the more of coming out with more instruments and music things.
