    Reagan doesn't get shot.
    On March 30th 1981, Ronald Reagan is shot in an assassination event by John Hinckley Jr. However in this timeline Ronald Reagan is never shot so on this day Reagan just leaves the Hilton hotel. However being able to keep going on with his day could cgange History in a big way.

    At this time in History the 1984 election is coming up. Now on the normal timeline Reagan is easily the favorite to win because of surviving the assassination attempt. However, because Reagan was never shot, Reagan's support isn't incredibly high. At this point it looks like Walter Mondale could win.

    Instead of winning the 1984 election and serving another years in office. Reagan loses in 1984 to Walter Mondale. Without gettting more supporters from surviving the gunshot Reagan, never gained more support and in the end just didn't have enough.

    Dukakis beats Bush Sr in 1988.
    On the normal timeline, George Bush Sr beats Michael Dukakis. However since Reagan wasn't reelected, Bush wasn't president another four years. As a result while he was running for president, he couldn't tell people he was vice president for eight years to one of the greatest presidents. As a result the people pick Michael Dukakis over Bush in 1988.

    Because George Bush Sr was never elected president. Dukakis decides not to join U.N. Coalission which means we will not send troops to the Persian Gulf for the Persian Gulf War and we never get involved with Iraq.

    George Bush Jr got some of his supporters from being the son of a former president. However because Bush Sr is never president, Bush Jr doesn't get enough votes and Al Gore wins in 2000.

    In 2003, George Bush jr sends troops to Iraq and this would kick start the Iraq war after stuff his father dealed with in the Persian Gulf War. However with Gore in office, Gore would decide to be peaceful and not send troops to Iraq and hence not start the Iraq war. Instead the US decides to stay out of Iraq and not invade.

    Gore gets another term
    After not sending the troops and doing well with things in the country. Americans would re-electy Al Gore for a second term as President. WIth Gore getting another term he now has 4 more years to change the country.

    With another term and deciding not to go to Iraq, gore would never send the troops anywhere because he saw no need. This means that we neve go to Afganistan, or Iraq the second time and do war. As you can see in the map the US would leave that part of the world alone.

    Without being invloved with the Persian Gulf war in the 90's, the US didn't have serious starts in Iraq or Afganistan. As a result the US would keep out of the Middle East and not have a horrible relationship between parts of the Middle East. The relationship wouldn't be so bad because we never felt the need to go to their country and invade them.
