2004

Before I even started school my mom would sit down with me at night and read me a book. I remember she would read the Dr. Seuss books to me all the time, we would just sit there a laugh at that books.

Kindergarten

2005

This was the year that I started school. I remember I was so excited to learn. My teacher would always read to us in a big huge circle, we would sit cris cross applesauce. The days into kindergarten is when we started to read on our own.

Learning how to Read

My kindergarten teacher was testing us on our reading to see what we know. For the most part I was on the level that I needed to be. Taking reading test and reading with the teacher.

Starfall

2006

Starfall was a website that my teachers gave us students to help us with our readings. It had different activities to help develop our vocabulary and help teacher keep track on our reading levels.

Magic TreeHouse

2007

Magic TreeHouse were the books that my teacher would have us read. These book really help me expand my reading, with these books we would write book reports on. Helped me on my vocabulary and reading for long periods of time.

Mr.Charles

2008

Mr. Charles was other teacher that an impact in developing my reading. He also gave us vocabulary test which helped me expand my vocabulary, so that made it easier when I read out loud to the class or with the teacher.

Mrs Bayshore

2009

Mrs. Bayshore really help me understand the importance on reading and help develop my reading scores. She would take the time to read us and once we reach our goals she would give us prizes when we did.

Reading Medals

Throughout the Elementary school we have reading goals. If the student read 50 or 100 books they would get a medals. The medals were different colors according on the level/grade of the students.

Different YouTube videos helped me with different ways to help me on my reading. Giving me different tools and views on reading to help increase my reading levels.

ABC Mouse

I personal never used this website but my little brother did. He was always a little bit behind on his reading and this helped him stay on track.
