Ever since I was in the Womb, my parents read to me. As soon as I was born, my sister started reading to me also.

I used to watch the Tele Tubbies all the time and I would sing along and start reading with them.

I then started watching Sesame Street and would learn how to read with them as well as with my family one on one.

I wanted to be just like my sister and I started pre-school so I could go to school just like her. I went to a private school which meant that we worked on reading, writing, and counting.

I knew how to read! It wasn't the best, but I could read on my own and write in cursive.

By the time I was in second grade, I was already reading Chapter books. The Library became my bestfriend.

My mom made me take this UNLV reading class and we found out that I was already reading at a college level at the 6th grade.

When I was a Freshman in High School, I took Latin, which helped shape my reading and writing skills.

At the age of 17, I graduated high school with 48 college credits.

This semester I started taking EDRL Classes and learned new strategies.

I got hired with CCSD as a substitute teacher and have been teaching elementary school. Including a long term job in first grade.
