  • Learned to Read

  • Elementary AR

In the 3rd Grade I began to read many books to earn points in the school's AR program. One of my fondest elementary shcool memories, is reading in my mother's Kindergarten classroom after school. We would sit in an inflated liferaft, and let the pet hamster run around in it while we read.
  • Middle School ELA Teacher

While at Baird Junior HIgh , I had a wonderful 7th and 8th Grade ELA teacher, Mrs. Goldsmith. She held high expectations for her students, and made learning fun. My favorite book in this class was "The Outsiders".

I have done a great amount of reading about my profession since I started teaching. This has enabled me to continue to grow as an educator.
  • Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction
