Ray Lewis signs with the University of Miami. This begins a legendary college career. -
End of college career
Ray ends his college career as the 5th leading tackler in UM history. He is selected as an All-American twice as a junior and senior despite only playing for three years. He lead the Big-East his junior year in tackles with 160. -
Draft
Ray Lewis is drafted by the Baltimore Ravens in their first draft 26th overall. Many scouts called him too small to play in the NFL. They were sadly mistaken. -
First Pro Bowl
Ray is selected to his first Pro Bowl with 184 tackles, 4 sacks, an INT, FF, Fumble Rec., and 11 Pass Def. This indicated the start of the Ray Lewis era. -
Superbowl Champs
Lewis and the Ravens win their first Superbowl as a Franchise. He is awarded the MVP, the first definsive player ever to win MVP of the Superbowl. -
Stabbing
Ray is falsly accused of being involved in a double murder case at a superbowl party in Atlanta. His career came into question. He said, " Y'all won't stop until I am in prison for life." He was not convicted, but put on a years probation and fined $250,000 by the NFL. -
