Ray Bradbury was born 8/22/1920 in Waukegan illinois. -
In October of 1932, when Ray was only 12 years old, his uncle was murdered during a robbery. -
Ray Bradbury loved all things magic as a kid, one day, he visited a magician called Mr. Electro who tapped him with his sword and said, "live forever". This inspired him to start writing to live forever through his stories in 1934. He wrote everyday for the rest of his life. -
Ray Bradbury moved to Los angeles in 1934, at the age of fourteen (14). -
Ray bradbury graduated high school in 1938, ending his formal education as he could not afford college. He taught himself in libraries because he couldn't afford college. He visited the library 3x a week for the next ten years. -

At around the year 1950, the bradbury household was home to 22 felines, dwindling to just 2 in 2003 in the year of his wife's death. -
In 1999, Ray suffered a stroke causing him to have to use a wheelchair. -
His wife died in 2003. -
