  • First Cluster Meeting

    A one day cluster meeting to introduce LEAD Pakistan's new initiative to strengthen the civil society oversight of decentralization of Education in Punjab was held in Multan where 42 participants representing various NGO's and CSO's from all over Southern Punjab were sensitized about the initiative. In turn, they presented a wholesome picture of the problems in Punjab with regards to educational governance.
  • Second Cluster Meeting

    The second cluster meeting, with representatives from the corporate sector was held on December 5th, 2012 at Pearl Continental, Lahore. The session was titled “Strengthening Civil Society Oversight of Education Decentralization in Punjab” and had a total of 24 attendants; each of which came representing their respective organizations, CSR departments or even merely to show their willingness to support the proposed facilitation of the decentralization of educational governance in Punjab.   • Third Cluster Meeting

    A cluster meeting was conducted with representatives of Academia on the state of education governance in Punjab and policy solutions through civil society participation, at Hospitality Inn Hotel, Lahore on the Thursday, December 27, 2012. It was conducted to identify governance related implications of the 18th Constitutional Amendment, apart from enabling an in-depth discussion on the relevant aspects of the situation analysis and the background papers on the subject.
  • Fourth Cluster Meeting

    A cluster meeting with representatives of Human Rights on the state of education governance in Punjab and policy solutions through civil society participation, at Hospitality Inn Hotel, Lahore on the Wednesday, January 23, 2013. The workshop also aimed at refining and streamlining strategies for improving post 18th amendment education governance in the province.
  • First Compact Group Meeting

    On the 26th of February 2013 LEAD Pakistan brought together representatives from the NGO and Corporate cluster, and formed a compact group in order to discuss issues of educational governance and policy making. This session was designed to identify common interests and areas for partnerships between the two clusters, as well as sensitize them towards the importance of collaboration with the state in projects that aim to improve issues relating to education and governance.
  • 2nd Compact Group Meeting

    On the 26th March, LEAD held a compact group meeting bringing together the latter two clusters of Academia and Human Rights groups, along with students enrolled in education programs. The purpose of this meeting was to further discuss and reflect on some of the recommendations recorded in the previous sessions. This would ensure that the conversation moves forward and the recommendations/suggestions are scrutinized and streamlined before incorporation in the final Citizen's Charter of Demands.
