  • BASIC

    It was developed in 1964 by John G. Kemeny and Thomas E. Kurtz. Its primary use was to allow students in other fields to use computers since at the time all computers required writing custom software which only certain people learned. It is an acronym and stands for Beginner's All-purpose Symbolic Instruction Code.

    It was developed n 1967 by Daniel G. Bobrow, Wally Feurzeig, Seymour Papert and Cynthia Solomon. Its primary purpose is commands for movement and drawing produced line graphics. It is not an acronym.
