  • MATH-MATIC

    Created by a group led by Charles Katz. MATH-MATIC is a marketing name for the AT-3 complier. MATH-MATIC was the early programming language for UNIVAC I and UNIVAC II
  • COBOL

    Developed by the committee under the auspices of the Department of Defense. COBOL means Conference on Data Systems Launguages. COBOL is a classic procedural language that aimed at enterprise management.
  • BASIC

    BASIC was developed by John Kemeny and Thomas Kurtz. Basic was designed to allow students to write programs for the Darmouth Time-Sharing System.
  • LOGO

    LOGO was desinged by Daniel G. Bobrow, Wally Feurzeig, Seymour Papert and Cynthia Solomon. This program was created for educational use, more so far constuctivist teaching.
  • PASCAL

    PASCAL was written by a group of programmers led by Kenneth Bowles. PASCAL was written to make building of compliers easier.
  • SQL

    SQL was developed by IBM. SQL stands for Standard Query Language. SQL is the languageof query for relational databases. SQL is the sucessor of the Square Languages.

    C was written by Dennis Ritchie. C was first designed to program UNIX operating systems, it has quickly become universal because of its speed and portability.

    C++ was created by Bjarne Stroustrup. C++ is an object oriented version of . C++ introduces OPERATIVE OVERLOADING.

    ADA was created by Ada Byron de Lovelace. She was the first women to program. ADA is a object-oriented high-level computer programming language extended from PASCAL.
  • VISUAL BASIC

    Visual Basic was created by Microsoft. Visual Basic provides many interesting sets of tools to aid you in building exciting applications.
  • JAVA

    Java was created by John Gosling and other programmers at Sun. In 1991 an interactive language was named OAK was developed but uncessgul. In 1994, it was rewritten and named JAVA. JAVA is an object-oriented language.
