The Chicago Bears were created in 1920. They were Originally called the Decatur Stanley Football Club ran by George Chamberlain, Later in 1922, Halas decded to change the team’s name. He figured that the football players on his team were bigger than the baseball players on the Cubs, so he decided to call his team the Chicago Bears.
